  • Chicken, Leg (drumsticks) 10.0 pc
  • Brine ingredients:
  • Ngohiong powder 4.0 tbsp
  • Salt 25.0 tbsp
  • Water 1.0 l
  • MSG 15.0 g
  • Wet dough:
  • Wheat Flour 0.5 cup
  • Cornstarch 0.5 cup
  • Baking Powder 1.0 tsp
  • Knorr Chicken Powder 1kg 0.5 tbsp
  • Salt 1.0 tsp
  • Pepper 1.0 tsp
  • Eggs 1.0 pc
  • Cold Water 10.0 tbsp

Preparation

  1. How to MakePhilippines styled Fried Chickeni:

    • Pour water into a stainless steel pan, add salt and cook. Stir well then add the chicken, cover the pan with plastic wrap. Store in the chiller for at least 6 hours or overnight.
    • After overnight, strain the chicken then wash with running water, then drain.
    • For the dough, in a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, Knorr Chicken Powder, baking powder, salt, pepper, eggs and cold water. Then stir gently until evenly mixed. Set aside
    • Mix the chicken in flour, then in the wet mixture then fry for 10 - 15 minutes at 150 degrees Celsius, remove from heat and set aside.
    • Fry a second time for 1-2 minutes so that the texture becomes really crispy.
