Sweet Potato Casserole


This dessert features roasted Cilembu sweet potatoes mixed with palm sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and butter. Topped with a smooth pastry cream and a hint of lime, it's lightly torched for a caramelized finish. A delightful blend of sweet and tangy flavors!

Preparation

  1. Sweet Potato Casserole

    • Roast the Cilembu sweet potatoes at 240°C for 2 x 44 minutes.
    • Mix the pastry cream and milk, then blend until smooth. Add the Knorr lime powder.
    • Put the mixture into a piping bag and store in the chiller.
    • Mix the mashed Cilembu sweet potatoes with palm sugar, cinnamon powder, vanilla powder, and butter. Stir and set aside.
    • Place the sweet potato mixture in a heatproof dish, cover with aluminum foil, and bake.
    • Bake for 6 minutes at 150°C.
    • Add the topping and torch.
    • Serve
