Inspired by Betawi and Maranggi satay, this dish combines rump steak, coriander, garlic, sweet soy sauce, and other spices. Serve with shrimp paste sambal and lime for a zesty, spicy experience.

  1. How to Make Spicy Sour Beef Satay

    • Prepare all ingredients, wash thoroughly, and set aside.
    • Cut the beef into small pieces (5-7 grams each) and set aside.
    • Mix all the spices with the beef, adjust the seasoning, then skewer 3-5 pieces of beef per skewer as desired, and set aside.
    • Mix shrimp paste sambal, sliced shallots, lime juice, and soy sauce, and stir well.
    • Chop the cashew nuts and add them to the sambal, adjust the seasoning.
    • Grill the satay until cooked, turning frequently until done. Serve with the accompaniments.
